For the Insane Optimism campaign, our client approached us with a clear goal: launch a bold, energetic visual campaign for his new training supplement. The objective was to capture not just the product, but the lifestyle and energy it represents a blend of performance, focus, and relentless positivity.

Our Approach

To bring this vision to life, we planned a dual location production. In our Culver City studio, we staged a dynamic shoot featuring both the product and models, creating powerful lifestyle imagery that aligned with the brand’s ethos. To maximize creative flexibility within budget, we coordinated an additional product shoot overseas.

On Set / Production

In Culver City, we worked closely with fitness models to capture authentic, high-energy moments that would resonate with the target audience. Meanwhile, for close-up product shots, we shipped the supplements to our team in Nişantaşı, Istanbul leveraging our international network to deliver premium photography at a more budget-friendly rate.

The Result

The final campaign delivered a striking mix of lifestyle and product imagery that reflected the brand’s core identity. By blending shoots from both Los Angeles and Istanbul, we provided our client with a versatile library of content all while staying efficient on time and budget.

Close Up Product Shot

We started with an intimate, up close product shot, using a shallow depth of field to isolate the supplement against a soft, blurred background. The biggest challenge was making sure the hand placement felt natural and relaxed while keeping the product perfectly sharp and brand facing. We used natural window light paired with a reflector for a clean, organic look that kept the greens vibrant and the focus locked on the brand.

Model with Product

To bring out a candid, lifestyle energy, we had the model interact naturally with the product, aiming for genuine expressions rather than forced smiles. Keeping the mood light with music and conversation, we captured authentic joy a key element for building trust with the audience. Soft, natural lighting helped highlight her features without harsh shadows, delivering a friendly, approachable feel.

Gazing at Product

This moment was about creating a quiet, thoughtful connection between the model and the supplement, suggesting trust and satisfaction. Micro adjustments to her posture and gaze were key to keeping the shot feeling natural rather than staged. Controlling reflections on the label under soft daylight was a fine balance, but we dialed it in for a polished, reflective tone that still felt effortless.

Neon Lights

Shifting to a high-energy gym setup, we placed the male model against vertical LED tubes to create a bold, futuristic vibe. The biggest hurdle was managing glare on the glossy product labels while keeping the lighting dramatic. Polarizing filters and slight product angle adjustments solved the issue, letting the branding stay crisp against the vibrant background.

RESILIENCE

The final shot was designed for maximum intensity direct eye contact, full focus, and a powerful stance. We used hard rim lighting to sculpt his physique and added resistance bands to engage the muscles authentically. Timing was everything; we shot in bursts to catch the peak of each contraction, highlighting the grit and determination that embodies the Insane Optimism brand.
